In Vana OS, "Ingredients" refer to the Bill of Materials (BOM) for a product. When managing ingredients for a product, it's essential to correctly assign ingredients to each product variant. This is efficiently handled directly within the product screen
Activating Manufacturing for a Product
Navigate to the Product Screen
Enable the 'I Make This Product' Option:
Find and toggle the "I make this product" switch to the ‘On’ position.
This action is required to enable ingredient listing and variant assignment features.
Adding Ingredients and Assigning Variants
Adding a New Ingredient:
Click on ‘Add Ingredient’
Select the ingredient
Assigning Variants to Ingredients:
In the same row as the newly added ingredient, you will find columns representing any product options you have defined
Click on the dropdown menu in the appropriate column.
Select from a list of available product options. This dropdown is a multi-select, allowing you to assign multiple variants to a single ingredient.
Repeat this process for each ingredient, assigning them to the relevant variants.
Tips for Variant Assignment
Accuracy in Assignment: Ensure each ingredient is correctly assigned to the relevant product variants for precise manufacturing and inventory tracking.
